Privacy policy
The short version: KTAMIZEN has no accounts, no ads and no tracking. What you tell the app stays on your phone. We only receive your data if you email us.
1. Who we are
KTAMIZEN, the iPhone app and the website ktamizen.app, is made by Abdelhamid Ktami, Via dei Cabrini 12, 24126 Bergamo, Italy. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.
Contact: support@ktamizen.app. We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer, because the law does not require one for what we do.
2. What personal data means
Personal data is any information about a person who can be identified, directly or indirectly, such as a name, an email address or an IP address. This policy explains which personal data the app and the website handle, why, and what control you have.
3. What stays on your phone
The app keeps these on your iPhone and nowhere else:
- The topics you pick, your tone, your theme and your font.
- Your name, if you choose to give one, and the answer you choose to "Who are we talking to?". Both are optional.
- Your saved quotes and your collections.
- Text you write for the My Words widget and the photo you pick for the Your Photo widget.
- Your notification hours and how many quotes you want a day.
We use your name and your answer only to choose lines that fit you. They are never sent to us or to anyone else. Your name is never put on images you share or on wallpapers the app makes. Because this information never leaves your phone, we cannot see it, and we do not process it on our side. If you delete the app, it is deleted with it.
3.1 Permissions
- Notifications. Quotes arrive as notifications scheduled on your phone, between the hours you choose. There is no server that sends them. You can change or turn them off at any time in the app or in iOS Settings.
- Photos. The app only sees the photo you pick for the Your Photo widget. It does not read the rest of your library.
4. What we do not do
- We do not ask you to create an account.
- We do not show ads.
- We do not track you across apps or websites.
- We do not use analytics or advertising tools in the app or on the website.
- We do not sell or share your information.
- We do not use your information to make automated decisions about you.
5. The data we do process
These are the only cases in which personal data reaches us or a provider working for us.
- When you email us

- Legal basisOur legitimate interest in answering the people who write to us, and the steps you ask us to take (GDPR art. 6(1)(b) and (f)).
- Kept for24 months after our last exchange, then deleted. You can ask us to delete it sooner.
- When you visit this website
- DataTechnical data your browser sends, such as your IP address, browser type and the page you asked for.
- PurposeTo deliver the pages and protect the site from abuse.
- Legal basisOur legitimate interest in running a secure website (GDPR art. 6(1)(f)).
- Kept forProcessed by Cloudflare for a short time, under its own retention rules. We do not keep server logs ourselves.
- When you buy Pro
- DataApple handles your payment details and we never see them. The app only asks Apple whether you have an active subscription so it can unlock Pro.
- PurposeTo give you the features you paid for.
- Legal basisThe contract for your subscription (GDPR art. 6(1)(b)).
- Kept forApple keeps purchase records under its own privacy policy.
- Crash reports from Apple
- DataIf you choose to share analytics with app developers in iOS Settings, Apple may send us anonymous crash reports and usage statistics. They do not identify you.
- PurposeTo find and fix problems in the app.
- Legal basisYour choice in iOS Settings, which you can change at any time.
- Kept forAs long as Apple makes them available to us.
The app may also show the standard iOS rating prompt. Apple controls that prompt and what happens with your answer.
6. Who helps us
We use a small number of providers who process data on our behalf and only on our instructions:
- Cloudflare, Inc. hosts this website.
- Apple Distribution International Ltd. hosts the support@ktamizen.app mailbox through iCloud Mail.
Apple handles App Store purchases, subscriptions and refunds as an independent controller, under Apple's privacy policy.
7. Transfers outside the EU
Cloudflare and Apple may process data in the United States or in other countries outside the European Economic Area. When they do, the transfer is covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or by the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.
8. Your rights
For the information on your phone, you are in control: change it in You inside the app, or delete the app to remove it.
For any personal data we hold, such as an email you sent us, you have the right to:
- access it and get a copy;
- correct it if it is wrong;
- have it deleted;
- restrict how we use it;
- object to how we use it;
- receive it in a portable format.
To use any of these rights, email support@ktamizen.app. We reply within one month. It is free.
9. Complaints
If you think we have not handled your data correctly, please tell us first so we can fix it. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority, in particular in the country where you live or work. In Italy this is the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, garanteprivacy.it.
10. Security
Because the app keeps your information on your phone, it is protected by your iPhone's own security, such as your passcode and Face ID. This website is served only over an encrypted connection. We limit access to support emails to the people who answer them.
11. Minors
KTAMIZEN is not designed for children under 13. The app does not send personal data off your phone. If you are under 14 and live in Italy, please ask a parent or guardian before emailing us. If we learn that we hold personal data of a child without the needed consent, we will delete it.
12. Cookies
This website uses no cookies, no local storage and no analytics. It loads no third party scripts, and its fonts are served from our own site. That is why it shows no cookie banner. The app does not use cookies.
13. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. If a change affects what the app collects, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect.
